Our reportage on Euronaval 2022
One month after the closure of Euronaval 2022, while we are returning from METSTRADE in Amsterdam, we finally manage to find some time to share our “carnet de voyage” of the Paris trip.
The first impression, concerning the exposure of our booth, is a very successful edition characterized by a very large participation of exhibitors (450), visitors (22,000) and official delegations (150) and by a great intensity of meetings and presentations.
The most vivid observation, however, focuses on the participation of the Italian presence which has taken on a leading role at the event, with 26 companies in the naval defense sector representing the industrial sector and with a leading official delegation led by the Ambassador of Italy, Emanuela D’Alessandro, who had just taken office in Paris, and which included the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral Enrico Credendino, the Deputy National Director of Armaments, Admiral Pier Federico Bisconti, the Commander of the Central Air Command and Naval of the Guardia di Finanza, General Ignazio Gibilaro and Guido Crosetto still President of the AIAD at Euronaval at that time, before being appointed Defense Minister of the Meloni government a few days later.
In particular, the words of the Ambassador filled us with confidence and pride who, visiting the pavilion of Italian companies, also stopping by our stand, declared: “The companies present at this important international event, which we intend to accompany with every possible form of assistance to help them seize all the opportunities that may present themselves in terms of international collaboration, represent a cross-section of the excellence of Italian industry, of a dynamic, innovative industry projected onto foreign markets”.
Another important highlight at Euronaval was the official presentation of the 8th edition of Seafuture, the business convention on maritime dual use organized by Italian Blue Growth srl and the Italian Navy, which will take place at the Naval Base of La Spezia, in Italy, from the 5th to the 8th of June 2023. Of course Eurocontrol will participate, as we do at every edition, in this strategic event for Italy as a country and especially for the Ligurian region, where a cluster of excellencies of companies, research institutions and public bodies is highly active.
In conclusion, in the year of the return after the pandemic, Euronaval has confirmed to be a precious opportunity for us at Eurocontrol to meet colleagues and important players in the industry connected to the different Navies and the opportunity to present the project and development areas where we operate: weapon controls, power electronics, control electronics, servo systems, electro optical systems, electromechanics. We thank all those who came to visit us. We invite you to follow our news to stay updated on upcoming participation in events and fairs by our sales team.
