From La Spezia to Naples, new business opportunities come from Italy
Our sales team spent the month of June growing relationships in our country. In fact, Italy today plays a geo-strategic role in the Mediterranean Area in the promotion of maritime security and innovation in the defense sector.
Seafuture 2023: Innovation and Blue Economy at the center of the international agenda
Seafuture 2023 was an immersive experience, the number of the exhibition are: 300 participating companies and 73 foreign delegations, 50 conferences and 3,000 meetings.
A sign that La Spezia is now an event of global importance!
Of note was the presence of the institutions represented by the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto and the Minister for Civil Protection and Marine Policies Nello Musumeci, the General Secretariat of Defense Dario Giacomin and the Chief of Staff of the Navy Admiral Team member Enrico Credendino.
The topics covered were many, from the maritime defense sector to the blue economy: the integration of advanced communication systems and the progress in the use of artificial intelligence for the management of data and operations at sea, marine robotics and solutions for the safety and defense of the seabed, the promotion of environmental sustainability and the protection of marine ecosystems. But the focal point was underlined by Minister Crosetto, highlighting the key role of technological innovation and synergy between the military, industrial and academic worlds, both nationally and internationally, to face global challenges effectively.
Industrial Opportunity Days 2023: research meets SMEs
To expand our contacts in the world of research, on 15 and 16 June Daniele Zaccagnino, sales and marketing manager of Eurocontrol, were to Naples for the Industrial Opportunity Days 2023, organized by ILO Network Italia at the prestigious INAF National Auditorium “Ernesto Capocci”, in the fascinating setting of the Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory.
The main objective of the event is to build a bridge between the “big European science” and Italian industries, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, offering them the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, access new markets and further develop the own innovative potential.
The 2023 edition, with a specific focus on the fields of physics, astronomy and fusion energy, was attended by representatives of the main European Big Science Laboratories: the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), the European Spallation Source (ESS), the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the Square Kilometer Array (SKA), the Fusion for Energia (F4E) and, among the members of ILO Network Italia, the National Research Council (CNR), the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) and the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA)
During the event, appropriate one-to-one meeting moments were organized between research institute representatives and company representatives to make the transfer of knowledge practical, and a special B2B session to encourage interaction and the birth of new cooperations between companies and between laboratories and companies.
