Eurocontrol at the meeting with the Italian Military Attachés
On March 16th 2022, in Rome, Eurocontrol participated to the meeting organized by AIAD alongside the seminar for the indoctrination of the Italian Military Attachés who will soon take office at their assigned Italian Embassies around the world.
Italian Secretary General of Defence, Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano, organized this session to introduce the Attachés to the companies’ representatives of the aerospace defense and security sector, to facilitate institutional support in the business activities abroad.
The role of the Military Attaché, in the context of the Italian diplomatic missions abroad, is key for bilateral military and defence GtoG relations as well as being the institutional reference point for the homeland defence industry.
In addition to promoting the meeting, AIAD in fact provided the Attachés with an accurate information profile of the participating companies, with a focus on the products, activities and projects developed. Check Eurocontrol’s profile in AIAD’S Directory of Italian Federated Companies.
The AIAD network of Italian Companies for Aerospace, Defence and Security, brings together national companies, with high technological content and an important R&D component, which operate in civil and military aerospace, naval and terrestrial military and electronic systems sectors.
The aim of AIAD is to foster relations with institutions, both in Italy and internationally, by coordinating inter-company working groups, organizing seminars and congresses, and promoting the Italian companies it represents within the most important sector events abroad.
In recent years, Eurocontrol has participated to different missions organized by ICE (Italian Trade & Investment Agency) in collaboration with AIAD:
- MAST Asia in Tokyo 2017
- LAAD Land Defense & Security 2019 in Rio de Janeiro
- Finally, after the long break due to Covid, at the end of March will participate in a leading event in Kuala Lumpur the DSA 2022, once again under the patronage of ICE in collaboration with AIAD.
